I got a new Beta last week and he has been eating the ramshorn and pond snails in his tank. Is that all right? He eats the newly hatched ones whole and somehow manages to get the bigger ones out of their shells. I see him shaking them like a dog with a bone. LOL. He is so cute when he is doing that. I had a hydra explosion in his tank before I got him and he ate all them too. My first Beta would only eat pellets and was very shy. This one is very friendly and not afraid of anything.

It's fine - just another example of how much personality can vary from betta to betta. I've had some that are fine with other fish, and others that will bite the heads off of anything that comes near them.
