i just got a Betta on sunday. i have done some reserch and i have found that i should let her fast one day a week. is this true?

In general it's a good rule of thumb as they are very prone to bloating from constipation after overeating. The biggest factor is controlling how much they eat as the size of there stomach is only that of one of there eyes so keep that in mind while feeding it.
