Also, when you buy your test kit don't buy test strips. People on this forum agree that test strips are very, very unreliable and undependable. Test strips don't give correct answers.

Buy a liquid test kit. People on this forum strongly recommend the liquid test kit API Master Test Kit. It will last a long time.

Yes. It happens often to almost everybody. In fact just a week ago my fish store told me the same thing: "Run your tank for 24 hours and then come in and get your fish"

But I knew better, mostly thanks to the good people on this forum.
