Betta Feeding

So I've been juggling the appropriate feeding amounts for a betta for some time. I believe my prior betta may have acquired swim bladder disease...

I feed my betta pellets and the directions say 3-4 pellets twice a day. I've heard your're supposed to feed once a day and have 1 day of fasting a week. Is this correct and if so how many pellets per feeding.

I feed 3 to 4 Omega One pellets per meal time, but I switch it up with other foods as well, and usually feed 3 times a day. I don't, however, feed on water change day.
