So I bought a betta tonight, but I am unable to add him to my aquarium until tomorrow. He is in a bag with the water he was in, in his fish bowl so I need to know if he will be ok in there until tomorrow (approx.10 hours or so..). I can float him in the aquarium he will be going into, but I don't have time to acclimate him. Should I cut the bag open and roll the sides down and float him like that or just in the closed bag?
Thanks.

If you have a small container drop him in there then float it in your tank. He may run out of oxegen in tge bag

I think he would be ok for 10 hrs. I usually use a tupperware bowl to put my fish in to acclimate them, floating the bowl in the tank. Just be careful about whether or not he can jump out, they don't do it often but it is a possibility.
