Betta with fin rot, curing tips please

Ok I noticed my veil tail betta has fin rot today, but the fin rot is still at a very early stage. I'm gonna do a 50% water change, but due to the storm I can't go to petco to get aquarium salt or any medication


I have the betta in a 2.5 gallon tank, filtered and cycled.


Am I doing everything correctly? Just making sure aquarium salt helps fin rot, right?

aquarium salt isn't needed. Do 50% water changes daily and you'll be fine.

Also, AQUARIUM salt is different from MARINE salt right?
