Just a quickie really, we have a bit of a carrotfly problem here, and the little b*gg*rs are dotted about in the kitchen, mostly round and even in the compost waste bin, so, I just had a thought as to whether or not I could catch them and feed them to my SFF? Or would that not be recommended?

Thanks... :)

I feed my tank any small insects that I catch. This includes fruit flies, drosophilia, and common ants. That said, I never spray insect poisons because I know that I tend to feed insects to my fish. The fish get a little protein in their diet and I end up with less bugs in the house. It's a win-win situation and the fish swarm to the surface when my hand goes over the tank without me walking about with the flake food. It seems they know the insects are coming and they just can't wait.
