Bichir ate 13 Neon Tetra in 1 month! What a little beast!

My 5 inch Senegal Bichir named Bichir Texas Ranger he ate all my neons. He is really fat now. Will he be ok. Should I buy more for him to munch on? I have another question that baffles me. I have 7 black neon tetras that have not been touched. Whats the deal with that?

I can only assume the black neons dont glint under light the same way neons do and this is something predatory fish are attracted to but thats a guess.

Neons as food for another fish? Now thats something I havent heard of before. They are too beautiful to be sacrificed like this.
