Hey guys! My tank has pretty much always been having buildup of black and brown algae in small crevices. Normally the filter and the corners of the tank are affected the most. Every two weeks or so, I scrub the algae off but it always returns. Lighting is low LED and I don’t feed my fish that often. About two pellets once or twice a day. Is there any way to prevent this, or is it just something aquarists have to put up with?

Short answer: Yes, we have to deal with algae.

Longer answer:
Limit excess light (from windows too)
Increase water changes and remove as much organic material as possible.
Clean filters regularly to remove organic material.
Pick up plants (floating plants are great for helping).
