Black Molly and ballon molly.

So this just started happening. My black molly and balloon molly started following each other. Are they fighting or are they trying to mate? Anyone?

He is most likely trying to mate, male mollies are very aggressive to females. I would add another female to the tank so the one won't get annoyed and stressed. I keep only mollys and love them to death but thr males are always horny.

I have 3 balloon mollies and 2 regular mollies. Sex unknown for all 5 but I didn't know regular mollies could make with balloon mollies. Interesting. They stop doing it because I took the balloon Molly out for an hour or so and then put it back in the tank. Thanks for the info

It's easy to sex mollies. Males have a barb on the bottom of thr body where females have only fins on the bottom. Mollies will even mate with guppies, their in the same family so some sick hybrids can be born just wana show off my tank xD

If the black is a male and the balloon is a female then they are trying to mate.
