Black or tan sand?

Which one do you guys prefer?

depends what the surroundings are. i normally prefer black but if everything else in the room is wood then it would look better the other way

I'm with aquandrew on that. I like black much better, but if everything is black then I'd go with tank. Plus it depends on the fish you're getting. If you're doing a more black/brown fish (like a least killie) then I'd do tan, but if you're doing RCS or cardinal tetras I'd do black. I guess it's personal preference, but that's my opinion!

Gotcha. Most of the furniture around is black, and my stand is black too. And its for the good old african cichlids!
