Black spots on my pleco?!?!?!

So today I noticed these two black spots near the dorsal fin

WHAT THE HECK IS IT?

Is this just from scraping against a rock or is this a disease ???

How would I treat it then????

I don't have fancy plecos but I have fish for a very long time and I don't think its anything to worry about. Fish are unique just like you and I. We get different spots here and there.

As long as it doesn't look fuzzy or spreading you should be fine. Looks like just a little discolorations to me. If it does spread then you are looking at fungal or bacterial infection.

Maybe add some aquarium salt if you haven't already, sometimes can take care of small things like this and a non-invasive way to help the fish recover if it is a small nick.

could be what they call black spot use OTC medication for parasites. Spots - cysts) may remain after treatment.

also could just be nothing... I would just keep an eye on it and maybe add so salt just incase as stated already.

I have barbs and a CPO cray in there too

Dosage is on the box of aquarium salt.
