blackwater extract and discus

is blackwater extract worth adding to a discus only tank? also, are tiger barbs an ok match for discus, I currently keep mine w/ rummy nose tetras

I've never used it in any of my discus tanks. I've found that they do just fine (including spawn), in a most stable environments. However, that doesn't mean it's totally useless, just that I haven't found a reason.

I've seen tiger barbs kept with discus. My thinking is that as long as the discus are fully grown, they wouldn't bother with each other.
