bristlenose produce SOOOOOOOO much waste, its UNBELIEVABLE!!

i have a 2 inch bristlenose in my 10 gallon -
****, he produces soooooooooooooooo much poo !!!

i have white sand - so you can see it very clearly - 25% of the tank floor is covered with black

i have cories in the tank - and there bioload is almost zero

you know ...thank god both the cories and bristlenose are bottom feeders.
Because everytime they are searching for food, or digging in the sand, they stir the sand up and all the poo is lifted !!

so despite my bristlenose producing sooooo much waste - at least he cleans up after himself !!!!

LOL pleco's generally do produce a lot of waste. I have a gold nugget pleco and he doesn't produce half as much waste as my common pleco did. My common pleco would make Christmas tree decoration like strings of poo.

exactly !!

since pleco's main diet consists of algae - they go to the toilet ALOT !!!!
(vegetables/green food makes you go to the toilet)

Think about adding some plants to help suck up all those cool poo-based nutrients. Like everyone says, it would be on your glass and decor otherwise. That poo is good fertilizer. Plants would love it
