broken brace on 46 gallon bowfront

I bought a cl tank yesterday. Its a 46 gallon bowfront but the center brace is broken. Should this be a concern? The tank is dated 1999 on the bottom. Thinking of just offering it back on cl as a snake tank. It did come with a new filter and new bottom filter also-I don't need them.

Yes it should be a concern. The brace was put there to keep the glass from bowing under weight of the water. Without the brace I'd have a real concern about leaks or even a failure. Not good with 46 gallons of water!

Personally, if the brace cannot be replaced or repaired then don't fill it with water. The side seams will be under too much pressure.
