Hi I owned my tank for awhile and it's 10 gallon and I was looking for a good way to combat brown algea or if there is a fish that would help clean it up ?

If it's not overwhelming algae, an occasional cleaning. With lighting, you'll always get some sort of algae, more or less depending on the lighting.

Brown algae usually goes away on its own with time. Ottocinclus and nerite snails eat it. Make sure your tank is suitable for ottocinclus and nerite snails. They need a well established tank to feed from once the algae has been eaten.
