I set up this new aquarium about 3 months ago with new white sand from Petco (Imagitarium), and, over the last month or so, I can see some brown patches or growth right in the front but below the surface. I have attached some pictures below.
Does anyone know what this could be and if I need to do anything about it?
It is only there in the front under the sand as you can see in the first picture. If it was brown algae diatoms, it would appear all over and above the sand, right?
