Hey everyone, So I've come across an interesting issue that I have never had before. I've owned aquariums for a while but I'm new to canister filters. I was doing a general deep cleaning of my aquarium (usually do once a month) and when i took off my canister filter I noticed this odd brown fuzz growing inside of it. I have no idea what it is or if i should be concerned so I figured I would come here and ask. I have a 20 gallon community tropical tank with a rainbow shark, 3 tetras, and 1 guppy. The filter is a fluval 106. I am currently fighting Cammalanus worm (thats the last time I don't use an isolation tank for new fish:( ) so anyways anyone have any idea what this is? I though it could be algae, but theres no light to let it grow. My biggest worry is its Cammalanus worm eggs or something.
