bubbles? dont like them

But do I need them?? Its a 160 gal with 2 1000 cannisters, but I dont like the fake look the bubbles give. Other tanks Ive had I used bubbles because I always thought I HAD to, but I never asked if it was 100% necessary. So I ask for your opinions.
 
It depends on the look you want and the amount of surface aeration. If you're canisters provide enough (and I can't see why they wouldn't), bubble wands aren't necessary.
 
if you want you could put the bubbles in corners or along the back and put thick plants or decor in front of the bubbles to cover them and still get the aeration needed in the aquarium
 
I did that exact thing mr86mister. We have an airstone at each corner in the back of our 150 and put tall plants in front of them. You can still see them, but they aren't noticeable. Are you using Cascade 1000's?
