Bulb looks weird

So I planted this bulb from a pack almost a month ago and it looks weird. It's either a water lily bulb or aponogenton. Is this normal? Please help because it looks like mold to me.

If it didn't sprout in 30 days just send it back to them with receipt and they'll send you back handfuls of bulbs that will grow about 100% of the time. If this is the same company that sells these bulbs at like Petco and Walmart.

In your case, that isn't any plant, that's for sure..I would remove it and get some more.
