Bumblebee gobys in freshwater only.

I have been interested about the bumblebee gobys and decided to ask my lfs a bit about (even though I allready knew) one question I asked was whether that stores gobys wer ein brackisg or freshwater and they informed me freshwater. So does this mean that i could get some and keep them in freshwater, I am interested in trying to breed them after and article that I read.

Im not the most experienced with gobies, but in general, as they get older they get less tolerant of freshwater and will need to have some level of salinity.
