I have some snails and a RC crab that has joust moulted. I took the casing out because it looked like a dead crab rather than a empty crab case :s Now I know hermit crabs eat their casing after to refill on nutrients but I can find any definitive answer as to if the RCC does the same. I would presume so. As i have took that away I need to add some calcium and the snails wouldn't mind either. Can I add some cuttle bone like you give birds or could I use this Eco Calcium Marine™ - API as thats all I can find really.

Yeah, I soak the cuttle for about a minute, and then stick it in a bowl, use the end of a wooden or plastic spoon, and just grind away at the end. Then I just sprinkle it in the tank. Some people put it in the filter, which I had no luck with, because it just came shooting back out LOL. :) I use about 1/8 tsp a week.
