Tank is not set up, so I have time to change gravel.

I bought black diamond quartz gravel. Which is alot harder than glass. 1mm to 3mm.

If I buy a flowerhorn which loves digging and stuff, is there a chance it could scratch glass with the gravel when it digs and moves it around?

Thanks.

Black diamond blasting sand is not a sand that I would use for digging fish tbh.

That being said, to answer your question no they won't scratch the glass with it.

Thank you for the reply.
Would you not recommend it because it's slightly sharp looking?
What gravel would you recommend for flowerhorns? I like black colour.

Thanks

I got 3 different bags of it on separate occasions and it was all the same and full of super sharp bits. Its fine to use for normal fish but for fish like corys and diggers I wouldnt be caught dead using it.

Black sand is awful to find, so you're just gonna have to dig around a bit for it.

Yeah I see those sharp bits. It's what scares me.
I may look into new gravel that's rounded and around 5mm to 8mm large.
Thanks.
