You can use both of them, you would just need to get another heater and filter too.

Yeah. You can use them in the tank. But it's not a good idea.

Filter is way to small. You should always get one size bigger on the filter. So say you have a 10gal tank. Get a filter for 20+ gal.

Heater that small won't provide enough heat to keep the tank at a steady temp

You could possibly use them both, but you would just have to get another heater and filter, like an Aquaclear Filter and Aquaeon heater.
