Last night my fish tank bulb decided to pack in on me, leaving my betta's tank with no light... Great.

I've been looking for a replacement bulb but the store I originally bought the tank from, don't sell the bulbs. Nightmare! I've tried looking for one online but yet again have failed miserably.

The bulb is a 9watt PL 6400k 4 pin. I can only find it in a 4000k but really would like another 6400k as I've discovered it can keep anubias alive

My question is, I've found an 11Watt bulb 4pin etc but can I use it in the lighting unit I have? Will it blow my lighting unit?

Thanks :)

Just going to bump this because I'm still waiting and looking for a suitable bulb! :D

I would try I am over my wattage on my 10 gallon with no issues cause I switched from incandescent to CFL and it even keeps star grass alive
