can we feed our puffer fish live snails when we go away for a few days?

Puffers are supposed to be fed on a diet of shell fish and invertabrates. It's their natural food source and they need them to keep their beaks worn down. Unless you have someone feeding them 2-3 a day then don't expect them to last longer than a couple of hours if you put alot in. Puffers are pigs and will eat until they can eat no more. How long are you going away for? How old are the puffers?

What kind of puffers? If you're only going away for a few days, just feed them well (full bellies) & do their water change, before you leave. Fish are fine w/o food for a little while (even some as long as 2 weeks).
