CAN YOU??? (? about a tank)

my friend is giving me a 30 gallon tank she has.

she originally had fish in it for a couple of years. fish died so she got a snake and kept him in there. now they are moving they found the snake a new home.

i am wondering if bring this thing home clean it with some AQ salt. and let it sit in the sun for a couple of days if it will be ok for fish again???

lol i feel so dorky asking this now but thought maybe someone had experience for this.

just to clarify it IS an aquarium for fish. she just used it for the snakey!

Yes you can clean it and reuse it for fish. I would fill it up and leave it outside for a few days to be sure there are no leaks.

I'd clean it with some bleach.

I'd scrub it out with bleach water and then rinse good, then fill outside with tap water and put in a large dose of dechlor and let it sit for a night. Then empty and repeat the dechlor one more time.
