Canister filter flow direction

Which way does the water flow in the Aqua One Nautilus 2700 canister filter?
I thought it was from bottom to top, but have since read it is from top to bottom, in which case I have mine setup back to front, can any one clarify this for me.

Thanks so much

On another forum, someone said the UV version is from top to bottom, and the one without the UV is from bottom to top. So now I am confused. I am just going the leave mine the way it is till I find out for certain.

Mine is mainly foam inserts now anyways. I notice the fine foam gets more gunked up although have used in a few different trays.
