No bugs, no bugs :hide:

Now he's interested in threadfin rainbows....would they work in a 10g and if so how many?

Triatoma dimidiata the South American kissing bug to be exact. It's a nasty nasty creature.

I love my sparkling gourami. Not shy at all as sometimes stated. Furcatas, yep, I agree. They are like danios. Super hyper! Unless you are prepared to feed live, the Scarlet badis might not be a good one to consider. I'd vote for a Peacock Gudgeon. So much personality, friendly, and act like a female betta. Sedate too.

My Threadfins are fairly calm. I'd say 1 male and 2 females. That's what I had in my 10g. When I had two males, I loved the showdowns, but one male got bullied too much. A single male will still show off for the females. My females also swam with my CPDs.

I think the centerpiece fish concept is overrated. Very few fish are happy as singles. And in a small tank, it's a balancing act.

I love watching my nano fish. My CPDs are always entertaining as are my Cories.
