Centerpeice fish

What is a good center peice fish for a 37 gallon tank with tiger barbs and octo's?

Gourami's are a nice centre price for a tank

Love me some gouramis too but not sure that they're the best fit with tiger barbs.

I have read that Tiger Barbs are very nippy unless in a large school. So a flashy fish with beautiful fins might not be ideal. Can anyone confirm?

I don't know much about fish, but maybe a pretty snail would be nice? (mystery snails are probably the best choice...)

Tiger barbs limit your choices. I would say a nice angel. But fin nipping would be a risk. Blue rams are gorgeous though too.
