i agree with johnny after the last picture you posted. Before, i didnt see that. Does yours look more like the picture johnny put up?

But the markings on the body dont look like that....

The body markings are highly variable, not only between individuals but the same fish will change its side bar patterns over time (even over a period of days sometimes). Grass pickerel also have the black eye bar, but the fins and shape of the skull are a little different.

What kind of info do you need on keeping them? It sounds like you're pretty well set up as long as you follow through on the pond idea. They do grow kind of fast.
