That's a good idea. They are pretty efficient at cooling small quantities of water. Of course if it's not too much more, you can just get a window unit AC and you can enjoy some of your efforts too!

Hey,
So what do you think.
My ODNO on the 55 gal. 
I went to HomeDepot and found an Advance standard REL-2P32-SC electronic ballast, together with some fittings and a Philips F32 T8 Natural Sunshine.(5000 K/2950lum). I hooked it up like in the ODNO project thread and i think i know have about 50 watt from a 32 watt tube.

This is so cool. 8) . I put the ballast outside my hood so i prevent a heat build up under the hood. (Pictures will follow later.)
Mabye the "experts"out there can help on how much lumen and color temperature this will give me. I thinking of hooking up an other light with the same configuration. Any suggestions ??
