Changing to sand???

What is the best way to change substrate from gravel to sand?
What should i do with the fish while i'm changing it?

I found it easy....I took forever trying to net my fish....fast little buggers..


have the sand washed real well ahead of time and it will go a bit quicker

I have to say that catching the fish was the hardest task in switching the substrate, then again I also gutted the tank, it was easiest for me. I installed an egg crate underneath the sand so breaking it down was my best option

I took everything out of mine as well, its just easier IMO

i plan on making the water level very low before i try to catch them, to make it a little easier
