Just been searching about fish and came up with something interesting. Some websites say cherry barbs need 5+ fish in a school. However, fishprofiles.com and other sites say:
"The Cherry Barb should be kept alone in a small tank or in pairs in a larger tank. They can be kept in larger numbers if the vegetation is dense".
I was always under the impression they were schooling, but does the latter hold any truth?
