take fish out. drain water. spray with hydrogen peroxide, let sit for a while. rinse and remove the water as much as possible. Refill and re-acclimate fish. Clean toothbrush on glass works well for removing it too. Cut your light period down for the future and keep up on water changes and not overfeeding. Algae needs nitrates to feed on. This should help prevent a problem in the future.

if hydrogen doesn't work you can also use pure bleach (fish removed!) but with a lot more rinsing/ water removal. After lots of WC if there is a smidge of bleach left your dechlorinator should take care of it.

Those spots (tiny) on the glass are HARD to get off! I use the edge of a credit card and really scrub it. It does get it off, but it takes a little elbow grease. Also, fingernails work too, but I think the credit card has been most effective for me.
