My grandma has a 35g and 36g tank they were both cloudy an they never got better she has hard water with lime in it she put salt and declorifier but nothing worked she was wondering if she could use distilled water

Sounds like a bacterial bloom. Yes she can use distilled water but water changes would probably be more effective depending on how much is changed.

99% certain it's bacterial bloom which means it'll fix itself unless she's overstocked.
