What would the sun do to cause cloudiness?

Dang autoCorrect on my above comment lol. Direct sunlight is what helps algae bloom in nature, the same works in your aquarium. Unless it's a heavily planted tank, algae will slowly manifest itself. Diatom outbreaks can also happen this way. Diatoms are pretty good at clouding the water I had an outbreak in a new tank one time.
