Cloudy water

Hello. I am new to the forum. I have a cloudy water issue with my established 30 gallon aquarium. Have any suggestions on how to clear? It really bothers me to look at and fear it is bad for my fish. Last time the filter was cleaned, forgot to use aquarium water to rinse and fear I have lost good bacteria. Thank you

Its probable that your use of chlorinated tap water has crashed your cycle and the cloudy water is a biological bloom. This is common in newly establishing tanks, and usually clears on its own as the cycle starts and nutrients get into balance.

Do you know your water parameters?

I would be changing water as you would for a fish in cycle.
