Clown Loach Stay at the Top

My clown loach has been swimming around the top of the tank now for about a week. I never see him away from the surface of the water any more. Does anyone know why he's doing this?

Is this only when you walk up to the tank? Or always? My clowns constantly are up at the top of the tank when I approach it, because they think its feeding time. Observe the tank from across the room if you can, and see if it is still doing it.

Test your water as well, if you haven't already. This definitley isn't normal behavior for a clown.
