Clown loaches tank size

I am thinking of getting a new tank and I would like to have some clown loaches. What size would be the minimum size you would put 3 clown loaches in?

I would say at least a 50gal. I started my 4 in a 20gal now have them in a 50gal. These guys can get quite large!

If you get small (less than 2") clown loaches you have nearly 2 years before they will be too big for the 30 gallon tank you have.

There is a lot of debate about how big of a tank they need, and the bottom line is that eventually they do get big if proper care is given. The argument is that the growth is so slow that it might be fine for them in small tanks for quite some time. Here is a pic of some more mature clowns (not my tank - photo taken from a thread at Tropical Resources about this very issue - that thread got quite heated!!)

Yes, up to 14" each, given time.

They grow up to 15inches in a a resonavble amount of time I recoomend at least 75.
