Compatibility?

I'm helping my mom start up a tank in her office. We've already established that she is going to have a betta. My question is: Are bettas and platies compatible?

I know alot about bettas and have around 20 of them but don't keep other fish with my bettas. I was wondering if anyone else had and knew anything about this.

Sure. If the tank is large enough to support the platies (atleast 10 gallons) they should be fine. Keep in mind though, that some bettas will attack fish with bright colors. If you have an agressive betta, he may nip at the platies. Likely not though.
