The 'dinosaur eel' is a bichir, likely a Senegal bichir, Polypterus senegalus senegalus ....how well the two fish do together will depend greatly on their relative sizes....how big are the two that you are considering?

the bichir is around 4-5 while the bgk might be around 5-6(not sure but that was about the size of the last one they had in stock)
