How long after a complete tear down and restart will it take to build bio film back up?

Shouldnt take to terribly long. If you are worried about shrimp or algae eaters just supplement there food.

I don't have either yet. I was waiting until I was sure that it was built up. But having to get a new tank tomorrow kinda put the kabosh to that. At least I have a fully cycled filter and all of the gravel and plants to repopulate the bb fast.
Oh then you will be ready to add whatever straight away! The plants should have plenty of biofilm!
