My dad used to have like a 200 gallon saltwater tank like 20 years ago. He used dead coral add decor. We still have them in the garage and I wanted to know if I could use them in my freshwater tank?

It would almost certainly raise your pH and KH. If you have fish that like hard water, then it shouldn't be an issue.

+1 there's nothing wrong with it, but it definitely will increase your pH. Also, it will break down over time unless your pH is a little above 8.0.
