cories are mostly active at night, how do i trick them.....

i rarely get to see my cories swimming round-the-tank during the day - because they aren't very active (except during eating time)...

and they mostly come out when the lights are OFF, so is there any way I can watch them swimming all-day-long ??

how long have you had them? My cories were out nearly all the time during the day but only after they were sure the tank was safe. Do they have any tank mates who could be pestering them during the day? You could try providing plants throughout the tank so they feel safe to explore.

my cories are all over the place, sometimes they group together and hide under the slate, but they like to come out and play in my bubble curtain.

i don't have any plants - that could be the problem - they might feel unsafe

You can also try lowering your lights.

Also try some dither fish like Tetras.

If your cories see them swimming around un-harassed they will feel more secure. Works for Firemouths too.

Another solution is Lunar lights if they only come out after the tank light go out. I have the Current Lunar Links on a few tanks and they work great.

My cories have tons of hiding places and aren't antagonized by my other fish...they even go around cleaning off the backs of my adfs 8O

Never seen lunar lights before ^^ sounds cool!

I have some that I added to my canopies and I have a couple Orbit fixtures with them built in.

I love them, the shimmering moonlight coming out of the tank at night is amazing.

I only have one cory right now. He made buddies with my pleco. When I get him in the larger tank, he'll get some buddies. Anyway, he's been constantly active since the day I brought him home. In fact, I've never seen him hiding. He loves riding up the bubble wall in the tank. So cute! I can't wait to get him little buddies.

Having hiding places makes fish feel safer. If they have a place to which they can retreat, they will be more likely to venture into the open. Without a hiding place, some fish will be too skittish to venture out and will not do so until it is dark.
