do u guys have anything against using cork bark that would normally be used in terrariums, as a background for the aquarium?...it doesnt matter to me if it tints the water or lowers the ph because the tank is gonna be south american themed

thanx for the link but actually i looking at actuall tree bark that is used for terrariums...i seen it labled as cork bark....

oh yeah.........I never thought of using that when I was putting together my tank.

I did however make a lizard terrarium a few years back and I used alot of that stuff.

It would definately make a cool background.

I wish I could give ya some info on what it might do to the water though.

I'll have a look around...

EDIT:
Tom Barr says its ok..........so it must be.
WOw...............I should have done this.......it looks amazing.

lol Ive already got plans for 2 more tanks and a new plan for my 20 once I upgrade it... just dont have the floor space nor spare cash to put my plans in motion... but when I do upgrade my planted tank, cork will definitly be used - maybe not on the entire background, but most of it. :)
