M looking to buy 1 for my tank, meaning I would get rid of a lot of my fish.
They are known as freshwater barracuda, hujeta gar, or Ctenolucius hujeta.
I was looking to keep my peacock eel, 3 clown plecos and my zebra botia, since they are all bottom swimmers, and the hujeta gar is a top level.
What does anybody know about these fish, I heard they like groups, but are they fine a lone???

How big is your tank?

40 gallons, and those are all fish that I already have, I have others too but would get rid of them and any of these except the eel!

Oh yeah and I forgot about my 6 mystery snails that I would liked to keep, if possible
