Cycling a jar

Hi all,

I have a jar I'm looking to quarantine some future ghost shrimp in. It's about 3/4 gallon, no filter. Can this type of thing be cycled? If so, what's the best way to do it without any animals in there?

something that small you just water change every day and be done with it.
