Hi everyone,

My dear guppy of three years passed away this morning. She seemed fine and the water params are all within normal range, which makes me think she probably passed from age. She was in a ten gallon with three other guppies.

My question is, do I need to do a water change? If so how much? Considering her death wasn't malice in origin, is a water change necessary? Thanks :)

If you promptly removed the dead fish from the tank, I don't believe you'll need to change the water :). Sorry for your loss.

How long ago do you think the body was in your tank? A water change can't hurt. I would do a 10-15% wc just to be safe.
