Dead loach help

today I found a dead loach wrapped around with some white fuzzy looking like cacoon, kind of glunk or hair like. anyone know what this is and if this was cause of death?

It's just what happens when the fish rots. Had you found it sooner, likely wouldn't have been there. It's not the cause of death.

That fuzzy stuff is fungus. I see it on cichlid pellets that sink and don't get eaten sometimes.
